The short route stays at the south end of the park, where the landmarks sit closest together. You cover in half an hour what a walking tour spends an hour on, and you are sitting down for all of it. Up to three passengers per pedicab — three adults, or two adults and a child.

The loop starts at Central Park South and 5th Avenue, in front of The Plaza. It runs west past the Carousel and Wollman Rink, doubles back along The Pond for the Gapstow Bridge view, crosses to Sheep Meadow and returns through Pinebank Arch. Roughly thirty minutes, depending on traffic inside the park.

Central Park is two and a half miles long. Most visitors give it an afternoon they do not have, walk a third of it and never reach the landmarks they came for. The thirty-minute pedicab takes the densest corner of the park — the one nearest the hotels, the theatres and Fifth Avenue — and covers it while you sit still. If you finish wishing it were longer, the same driver runs the one-hour Classic.

It is long enough for the south end of the park: the Carousel, Wollman Rink, the Balto statue, The Pond and Gapstow Bridge, Sheep Meadow and Pinebank Arch. It is not long enough to reach Bethesda Terrace or Bow Bridge — those sit further north and belong to the one-hour Classic tour.

Yes, all year round. Blankets are in the pedicab from October, and the park is at its quietest and clearest in the cold months. We do not ride in rain or snow — if the forecast turns we contact you to move the booking or refund it.
